Whimsical Ideas by Pam: Itsy Bitsy Spider

Happy Early Halloween!

I've been wearing Itsy Bitsy Spider on my nails this week and I'm in love. I'm a sucker for a purple nail polish, in probably any color, but this one is just amazing. Check this out:

Seriously? This polish is amazing. How can you not love a polish that looks like that? Every time I walk outside I stare at it. It's a royal purple jelly-ish glitter. I included the shade picture because you can see the little silver glitter that's floating around in there too. This is three coats with no top coat. On another note completely, my skin is looking a bit dry lately. Time to moisturize! That's how I know that summer (and all the humidity) is gone. Bummer.

Anyway, you can buy Pam's polish on her Facebook page. I bought several others from the Hallowhimsy (cute name) collection, but this one is my favorite by far. These are still available today too!

Zoya Jem

Hey Everyone!

I'm sharing one of my favorite fall colors today by Zoya called Jem. I love Zoya polishes, the bottles have a great shape to them, the brushes are nice and large and of course, the polishes themselves are very nice quality, I think!

Here she is:

Gah, look at that sparkle!! I love this one so much. The formula on this is great, two coats and so shiny (I didn't use a top coat for the picture). It's almost a one coater, but I had some bald spots. This is great on its own, but I also like to use it for layering, and maybe I'll do some combinations with it to show how versatile it is.
It seems similar to Zoya's Valerie, which was released in 2010 in their Fire and Ice collection, but I think Zoya discontinued it. I can't find it on their website, in any case.
You can purchase Zoya polishes at Zoya's website, and I've also seen them at Ulta. Zoya does a lot of great promotions throughout the year, so if you sign up and keep your eyes open, you'll probably be able to snag some at a discount.

Thanks for looking, and have a great day! :)

Dance Legend Papaya

Hello World!
Well, I've been wanting to start a nail polish blog for a long time now and I've only just gotten the courage to do it, so here I am. Thanks for looking at my very humble blog! Let's get straight to the nail polish!

For my first post, I thought it would be fitting to show an orange and black polish for Halloween AND for the Flyers, so here is Dance Legend's Papaya (951), just in time for hockey season and Halloween!! First is in sunlight, second is in shade:

Well, let's talk about this! I used 3 coats for these pictures, and I wish the sunlight picture could show just how bright this one is. This is a neon jelly with lots of black and white hex and bar glitter. Since it's a jelly, it isn't fully opaque but I don't really mind it, you can't really see the nail line much in person. I didn't use a topcoat, so it does look a bit dull. Dry time on this is normal.
This is the third Dance Legend polish that I've purchased and I like the brand. They tend to do really great thermals and holos.
I purchased this from Llarowe, and it was discounted at that!

Last night I was able to watch the Flyers beat the Islanders 5-2 so I was pretty excited for that! Maybe we're going to start coming back..
Lecavalier, or LeCadillac as I call him (I have no idea why I call him that, I just always have...) looked pretty fantastic with that hattrick! The Eagles play against the Giants tonight, here's hoping for another win!
